Rise of the Beasts Trailer: Disguised Robots go Primitive as the Battle for the Planet Rages On

With the release of the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer, Paramount Pictures is turning everyone's Thursday into a hype train. The story involves enormous robots that transform into mechanical animals rather than vehicles and was inspired by the Beast Wars line of Transformers toys. The film's screenplay was written by Joby Harold, Darnell Metayer, and Josh Peters, and is directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II, The Land). The next movie features a 1980s setting and appears to adhere to the Bumblebee timeline.

Optimus Primal and Optimus Prime cross paths in the wilderness in the teaser video for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Following their welcomes, Primal reminds Prime that Earth's population is facing a new peril and that terrible times are approaching. As the video goes on, we witness many types of Transformers engaged in battle, as well as some ingenious new technology and robot-on-robot combat that won't leave a bad impression on your Google search history.

Peter Cullen plays the voice of Optimus Prime in the animated film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which also stars Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Michelle Yeoh as Maximal Air Razor, Pete Davidson as the Autobot Mirage, Dominique Fishback as Elena, and Anthony Ramos as Noah. The robot tribes known as the Maximals and the Terrorcons, which are distinct from the Autobots and Decepticons, will be the Transformers in this movie. On Earth, though, they also find themselves in conflict.

Bumblebee, the previous Transformers film, was released in 2018. The film was a soft relaunch of the robots in disguise series and starred Marvel's Hailee Steinfeld. Transformer enthusiasts embraced the film's '80s design and iconic appearance for the robots, despite Bumblebee's box office failure ($468M worldwide).
