The Faby Awards have compiled a shortlist of the most well-known and revolutionary fashion designers of 2022 in order to showcase the most noteworthy fashion talent throughout the year. It wasn't simple because there was so much competition, but that's why we need your support to choose the winner and declare them the Designer of the Year for 2022!

Dolce & Gabbana had a busy year this year! The design team had a busy year, from teaming up with Kim Kardashian and their curator for the Spring/Summer 2023 Ciao, Kim to clothing Kourtney and Travis Barker's Italian wedding in Portofino entirely on their own.

Piccioli Pink, a particular shade of hot pink that was formally introduced to the Pantone color space as a result of Valentino's popularization of the hue, could be designated the color of 2022. Pierpaolo Piccioli, the creative director who has been pivotal in propelling the creative house to explosive success this year by clothing everyone from Rihanna to Beyonce, Zendaya, and many more, is honored by having the brilliant pink called in his honor.

Tom Ford

This past November, news about Tom Ford becoming a billionaire fashion designer grabbed headlines. Mr. Ford's net worth was estimated to be approximately $3 billion USD following a transaction with Estée Lauder, who reportedly paid $2.8 billion to acquire his business.
The design house and beauty brand have been collaborators since 2005, but this new deal would enable Tom Ford to expand into the makeup and fragrance industries, two sectors that are already performing well and are expected to continue to do so.

Naturally, since fashion is still the brand's major focus, we can anticipate seeing even more celebrities—like Steve Harvey and Jennifer Lopez—wear his upcoming designs.

Olivier Rousteing of Balmain

For more than ten years, Olivier Rousteing has been in charge of Balmain's creative direction. When he was appointed Creative Director, he was only 24 years old and the only black designer running a luxury brand of that kind at the time. His designs combine luxurious ornamentation with inclusivity in their core.

The Attico

The Milan-based design duo Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini introduced the ready-to-wear and accessory brand The Attico in 2016. The term, which in Italian means "penthouse," suggests a luxurious and stylish young lifestyle. Everything old, including opulent furnishings and settings as well as pricey jewelry and gemstones, serves as their main source of inspiration.
With silks, satins, fringe, sequins, embellishments, feathers, jumpsuits, and anything else that screams "luxury," their designs—which are adored by Rihanna, Lori Harvey, Dua Lipa, and almost every other fashion diva you can think of—bring back the nostalgic 1980s.

Sergio Hudson, a designer, doesn't mind using vibrant hues. In actuality, this is a crucial component of his collections. He continues to outfit A-listers in evening clothing that is both custom and ready-to-wear.
The Prong Dress was a popular star favorite this year and was worn by celebrities like Monica, Nazanin Mandi, Alisha Curry, and Kim Kardashian in silver.
Christian Siriano

To share the tales of Black people who are marginalized around the world, Denim Tears, a culturally aware designer company, has been sneaking into places like Levi's, Champion, and Converse. Tremaine Emory, the brand's creative director, has adopted a for-us-by-us philosophy ever since the company was founded in 2019. He uses fashion as his primary media and uses the brand to have difficult but essential dialogues.

The Cotton Wreath logo, which is prominently displayed on many Denim Tears jeans and sweaters and has recently been spotted on some of your favorite celebrities like A$AP Rocky, Bella Hadid, and Burna Boy, is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and instantly recognizable designs to come from the brand. The cotton plant was chosen specifically as an homage to its history of slavery in America.
