The Ups and Downs of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Over the Years: From Falling in Love to the Paris Robbery and Beyond
Over the years, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have gone through highs and lows.
In the early 2000s, Ray J, the KKW Beauty mogul's ex, and Kardashian's friend Brandy, a singer, were working on a song together when West and Brandy met. After her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries came to an end, the two got back in touch years later. Kardashian traveled to Paris at the time to see West's fashion show.
"Kanye and I were conversing soon before I wed Kris Humphries, but I just took a different path. On the Keeping Up With the Kardashians 10th anniversary special in 2017, she said, "I think I had to go through that to figure out what I wanted. I was in a really depressed state following our separation when he told me to "just come to Paris and attend my fashion show."
"He jokes that he put on this whole fashion display simply to get a date with me," the businesswoman continued. We so began dating because I traveled there and stayed with him. The Grammy winner declared his candidacy for president of the United States in July 2020. He shared a highly intimate anecdote about how he and Kardashian discussed terminating their baby North during a campaign event in South Carolina. After that, he launched into a Twitter tirade in which he asserted that Kardashian had attempted to have a "doctor lock me up" as a result of his actions at the South Carolina event.

After initially meeting through Brandy in the early 2000s, the couple kept in touch. Kardashian claims she spoke with West before she wed Humphries, but their marriage dissolved in October 2011 and she eventually reconnected with the Yeezy designer.
